Deanna started dancing when she was 4 years old at the neighbourhood Boys and Girls Club. Deanna then joined Pia Bouman School for Ballet and Creative Movement where she trained in ballet and discovered her passion for Contemporary and Modern dance. She was taught by Yuichiro Inoue, Julia Aplin and Bethany Litner. Deanna attended Rosedale Heights School of the Arts majoring in dance which was followed by the Dance P105 diploma program at George Brown College where she further developed her skills and creativity as a dance artist. Deanna continued her training this past summer with Ballet Jörgen’s Summer Intensive IV as well as ProArteDanza’s Apprentice summer intensive. Deanna is looking forward to the year ahead as a mentee with HBE and the opportunity to work with Hanna Kiel to further explore her artistry as a dancer/choreographer.
