Natalie May Dixon is 22 years old and grew up in Calgary AB, Canada. She completed the majority of her training in The School of Alberta Ballet’s professional division as well as The Edge School for Athlete’s pre-professional program. During this time Natalie competed in many prestigious ballet competitions, including YAGP where she placed 1st in the Pas De Deux category and moved on to the NYC Finals where she and her partner tied for 3rd. Natalie also spent many summers training with exceptional schools such as: The Paris Opera Ballet School, Elmhurst Ballet School, École Supérieure de Ballet Du Quebec, The School of Alberta Ballet and Edge Studios.
In the summer of 2021 she moved to Vancouver BC where she became a paid soloist with the Goh Ballet Youth Company. During this time Natalie had the opportunity to dance many leading roles such as; Kitri and Mercedes in Don Quixote, Aurora, Lilac Fairy and Diamond PDD in Sleeping Beauty, Dew Drop, Flower soloist, Chocolate Lead, Tea Lead, and Snow in The Nutcracker, and White Rabbit in Alice in Wonderland. To add, Natalie also traveled to Berlin in February 2023 where she competed in the Tanzolymp International Ballet Competition where she placed 1st in classical, 3rd in contemporary, and was also asked to perform in the gala to represent Canada. Natalie served as GBYC’s company representative and had several teaching and leadership roles within the school.
Following 3 years with the company, Natalie moved to Rhode Island USA where she joined Ballet RI as a trainee for the 24/25 season. These past few months Natalie has had the opportunity to perform roles such as; the corps de ballet in Diana and Acteon, townspeople in Don Quixote, Flower corps, Snow corps, Rats and Panda Bear in The Nutcracker, Cat in Peter and the Wolf, and Waltz and Swans in Swan Lake.
Natalie is eager to be back in Canada and looking forward to what this next season brings!
