Office Assistant
Job Description
The Office Assistant interfaces with all studio renters; manages bookings, oversees studio sound equipment used by renters and deals with rental invoicing. They also provide administrative, clerical, and database support at Jörgen Dance. This position is an excellent entry level position for anyone who is interested in working in the arts and/or non-profit industries, exposing the individual to fundamental aspects of arts administration. The position requires exceptional time management and organizational skills, and the ability to multitask as it often requires switching between different tasks throughout the day.

3 months (24 to 30 hours/week); working hours are on Saturdays, Sundays and weekday evenings – during rental hours.

Pay: $18/hour

Technical Coordinator Position
The Technical Coordinator is a key member of the production crew, responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of the Company’s ballet productions. As part of the production crew this position also manages logistics, technical setup, and maintenance of performance gear, as well as administrative tasks.
The Technical Coordinator will tour with the Company, providing hands-on support and supervision for all technical aspects or the performances. While in Toronto, the role also involves supporting studio and warehouse upkeep, performing minor repairs, and assisting with educational performances.
A strong desire to travel to small communities across all ten Canadian provinces is essential, as is a valid driver’s license.

Toronto Specific Duties
Other responsibilities as assigned by the Artistic Director.
Requirements
Completion of an accredited post-secondary program in technical theatre or the equivalent combination (3 years or more) of experience and education;
The Technical Director will report to the Production Manager and Artistic Director.
Additional Information:
Ballet Jörgen’s 2026-2027 season will include tours of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Nutcracker: A Canadian Tradition, and Swan Lake. Touring will take place across Canada.
Contract Length:
Full Season or Short Term Touring Contracts Available
Anticipated contract dates are September 7, 2026 to May 23, 2027
Hours:Up to 46 hours/week
Fees: $1,150/week

Ballet teachers will potentially be called upon to teach for the company; all teachers may be asked to substitute for George Brown Dance classes. This may lead to contracts for regular classes during school terms.
