Job Description
On a part-time basis, The Jörgen Dance Academy Registrar & Data Coordinator provides administrative and organizational support, particularly in the area of data entry and maintenance across all Jörgen Dance Academy (JDA) programs. This includes George Brown Dance, Summer Dance, Junior Company, and the Local Participant Program.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Entering student/participant/alumni data into Raiser’s Edge database and ensuring all data entered is complete and accurate;
•Cleaning up and maintaining the database;
•Entering data gathered from participant feedback forms;
•Assisting with donor data entry as needed;
•Answering the Jörgen Dance main phone line as needed;
•Assisting evening studio renters as needed;
•Various other tasks as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
•Accurate data entry and tracking skills, Excel & Database work
•Raisers Edge experience an asset
•Post-secondary education in Dance/Arts and/or Arts Administration or equivalent experience an asset
•Dance background an asset
•Excellent command of the English language (written and spoken)
•Knowledge of and experience with Excel, Word
•Able to work with confidential information
•Excellent and detailed organizational skills
•Pleasant, confident and affable telephone and email manner
•Ability to follow directions and work unsupervised

Work Location: George Brown College Casa Loma Campus 160 Kendal Ave, Building C, Room 126, Toronto

Work Hours: 12 hours per week | Evenings (5pm to 8pm or 6pm to 9pm)

Start Date: August 2024 TBD

Compensation: $17.75/Hour

Professional accompanists are welcome to apply to Jörgen Dance & George Brown Dance!

Pianists are needed for ballet classes, and George Brown Dance also schedules:

• Percussionists for modern dance classes
• Pianists for Vocal and Chorus Repertoire classes
  Accompanists will potentially be called upon to play for a ballet class for the company, and/or as a substitute for George Brown Dance classes. This may lead to contracts for regular classes during school terms.

• Jazz classes
• Hip hop classes
• Chorus repertoire classes

Ballet teachers will potentially be called upon to teach for the company; all teachers may be asked to substitute for George Brown Dance classes. This may lead to contracts for regular classes during school terms.
