Cancellation & Refund Policy

Once you have registered and paid for your audition/class/program you may cancel up to 48 hours before the start of your program with the following non-refundable fees:

GBD Auditions

Audition fee is non-refundable

Workshop Classes

The cost of 1 class is non-refundable

Summer Dance Academy

Program deposit is non-refundable

*After 48 hours prior to the start of your audition/class/program, the full amount is non-refundable.

Summer Dance Academy Residence & Meal Plans

Residence and Meal Plan fees are reimbursed if notice is given at least twelve (12) business days prior to your scheduled arrival, and are subject to $125.00 + HST cancellation fee.

Withdrawal Policy

Only upon the receipt of a valid doctor’s note, will you be reimbursed for tuition fees minus the program’s deposit and the pro-rated amount for time spent in the program.

Privacy Policy

The privacy of our patrons and donors is important to us.  We gather personal information about our patrons, audiences and sponsors through the course of various activities, such as but not limited to questionnaires, surveys, ticket sales, and contests.  We make every reasonable effort to collect, retain and use personal information in accordance with industry standards and applicable laws.

“Personal information” means information about an identifiable individual and may include the following:

⬥Home and business address, telephone number and e-mail address;

⬥ Age and birth date;

⬥ Financial information;

⬥ Purchasing and donating history;

⬥ Artistic preferences and other personal interests;

⬥ Seating and donation preferences;

⬥ Patron communication such as letters or verbal feedback;

⬥ Credit card information.

“Personal information” does not include the name, business address or business telephone number of an employee of an organization. In addition, certain types of publicly available contact information, such as names, addresses and telephone numbers that are published in telephone directories are not considered personal information.

CBJ collects, uses and retains personal information for the purposes that a reasonable person would consider appropriate in light of the circumstances. For instance, we may collect, use and retain information to:

⬥ Obtain feedback from our audiences to enable us to better serve our patrons, and expand our community;

⬥ Contact our patrons by telephone, mail or e-mail to keep them informed about upcoming performances, events and developments relating to BJC, for instance through our newsletter;

⬥ Maintain our professional and artistic relationships and establish new relationships to further our artistic vision;

⬥ Make our audiences and supporters aware of the financial needs of BJC and provide them with information as to how they can contribute to the organization, both financially and by volunteering their time; and

⬥ Thank our patrons and donors for their support and mail tax receipts where appropriate.

When patrons and donors provide us with their personal information, consent for the collection, retention and use of personal information for the purposes outlined above is implied.  However, in certain other circumstances permitted by law, such as medical emergencies and the prevention or prosecution of a crime, we may use the personal information in our possession about an individual without their consent.

We make all reasonable efforts to ensure that personal information in our possession is stored safely and is accessed only by authorized personnel within our organization.  Once such information is no longer needed, we will destroy it or render it anonymous.

At CBJ, we do not share names and addresses of individuals on our mailing list with other organizations and we do not sell our lists.
