Director in Training

Oshawa, ON

Bakadisula is a dedicated mentor and events coordinator with Girl Talk, a grassroots organization committed to dismantling barriers faced by marginalized youth. Working closely with young girls from immigrant families, she leads sessions that foster self-confidence, cultural pride, and early community engagement. Through her role, she creates safe, empowering spaces where participants can explore their identities and express themselves authentically.

As a Congolese Canadian artist, Bakadisula] merges cultural practices with contemporary themes to tell stories that explore identity, belonging, and self-expression. Animation is her chosen medium, allowing her to bring nuanced narratives to life while amplifying the voices of those often overlooked. Inspired by her heritage and the experiences of her community, she seeks to bridge the gap between tradition and modernity in her work.

Whether mentoring young girls or crafting compelling visual narratives, Bakadisula is driven by a passion for storytelling and a commitment to social impact. She envisions her work as a platform for connection, using art as a means to spark conversation, foster empathy, and inspire positive change within her community and beyond.
