This lesson focuses on the basic leg positions and Demi-pliés. Investing the time to perfect the fundamentals of foot and leg positions will help you add poise and better control over your technique. The Plié is a knee bend. Plié is French for ‘bending of the knees’ and can also mean ‘to fold’, which is a very helpful context to understand how to do a proper Plié.

- The three basic leg positions: First, Second, and Third
- Neutral Sixth Position
- Proper technique to hold these positions with your muscles using correct leg placement
- How to execute a Demi-plié properly in each position
