114 – Temps lié & Temps lié glissé

This lesson focuses on how to execute Temps liés also known as linking steps. Linking steps are a key part of the ballet technique allowing us to move more smoothly in space. Temps lié means “linked” and is used to show flow of movement and transfer of weight from one position to another. It is used as a connecting step.

In this lesson you will learn:

  • Two different versions of Temps lié and how to execute them correctly
  • How to smoothly transfer your weight from one leg to the other
  • Common mistakes to avoid when executing your Temps liés
