This lesson is focused on putting together jumps in a sequence which we call Enchaînment. We’ll jump in the centre using our arms and head and introduce the Gallop and Spring Point. Jumping is a fundamental ballet skill – early understanding of how to practice your jumps correctly will make a huge difference in your dance training. This lesson builds on previous lessons on jumping.
In this lesson you will learn:
- To understand the concepts and execution of Enchaînement of Jumps; Gallops and Spring Points
- How to properly use your legs as you push off and land in jumps
- How to coordinate your arms and head through a combination of jumps that travels through space
