Junior Company: Free Public Showcase in Toronto

Junior Company allows the dancers to immerse themselves into a professional dance company environment; this program is for the dancers seeking their first professional full time job in a dance company. Dancers have been training with Ballet Jörgen’s company dancers and artistic director Bengt Jörgen C.M. to create new works, hone repertoire and put professional poise to technique, etiquette and work habits. Taking place in Studio C, the Junior Company graduates will perform Act 4 from Swan Lake, the final movement from J.S. Bach’s Piano Concerto #1 and other excerpts.

This year’s showcase also features a newly commissioned contemporary work, “Meet Me There,” by acclaimed Canadian choreographer and George Brown Dance alumnus Christopher Knowles. The piece explores human connection and emotion beyond physical form, bringing Christopher’s distinctive contemporary voice and industry expertise to the stage.
