Job Description 
The Marketing Coordinator will assist with all aspects of marketing with a focus on content development and communications for Jörgen Dance. This covers all areas of the Company’s operations including Ballet Jörgen, Jörgen Dance Academy, and Jörgen Community Dance. 

 This will include: 

• Managing all company social media platforms– including tracking and monthly reporting of analytics; 

• Developing and executing a communications plan for all e-communications; 

• Developing high-quality content — including but not limited to social media, impact stories, media releases, outreach materials, blog, e-communications, and digital ads; 

• Creating and updating performance programs for touring venues; 

• Communicating with presenters and venues to ensure they have all necessary marketing assets; 

• Managing front of house and merchandise inventory and tracking; 

• Managing and completing website updates and monitoring its functions; 

• Other duties as assigned. 

Additional responsibilities include: 

• Marketing administration duties as needed; 

• Supporting the Education Department with creation and execution of marketing plans for George Brown Dance, Summer Dance, Virtual Dance Studio and other education related marketing. 

Requirements 

• Marketing and communications experience a must; 

• Creative content development a must; 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills a must; 

• Graphic design experience and experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign) and/or Canva is a must; 

• Social Media management experience a must; 

• SEO and Analytics experience an asset; 

• Video editing experience is an asset; 

• WordPress experience is an asset; 

• Raiser’s Edge database experience is an asset; 

• Experience with paid social media advertising is an asset; 

• Comfortable working independently; 

• Knowledge of/background in dance/performing arts an asset; 

• French an asset. 

This position reports to the General Manager and Artistic Director & CEO. 

Hours: Full-Time 
Salary: $45,000 a year 
Location: This is an in-person position based at our Toronto offices at George Brown’s Casa Loma Campus (160 Kendal Ave, Building C, Room 126).

Professional accompanists are welcome to apply to Jörgen Dance & George Brown Dance!

Pianists are needed for ballet classes, and George Brown Dance also schedules:

• Percussionists for modern dance classes
• Pianists for Vocal and Chorus Repertoire classes
  Accompanists will potentially be called upon to play for a ballet class for the company, and/or as a substitute for George Brown Dance classes. This may lead to contracts for regular classes during school terms.

Ballet teachers will potentially be called upon to teach for the company; all teachers may be asked to substitute for George Brown Dance classes. This may lead to contracts for regular classes during school terms.
