Originally from Glasgow, Scotland Callum started dancing at the age of 7 at the Valda Hunter School of Dance. He continued to train under many teachers and different schools including JazzArtUK and Scottish Ballet’s Junior associate program. Callum started his vocational dance training at The Dance School of Scotland. During his training and time dancing in Scotland Callum was a part of many projects including joining the Scottish Ballet Youth Exchange 2015-16 to work with choreographers Lorraine Jamieson and Kerry Nichols and tour to Singapore, Edinburgh and London and was also a part of the World Premiere of Scottish Ballet’s Hansel and Gretel in 2013. After four years of vocational training he decided to join Central School of Ballet in 2016 to continue his training to become a professional dancer in ballet and contemporary dance. Whilst at Central, Callum was part of numerous programmes and performances such as the Prix de Lausanne’s first ever choreographic project with guest choreographer Goyo Montero in 2018 and he danced as a guest artist in New English Ballet Theatre’s 2018 Season tour. During his third year at Central School of Ballet, Callum joined the rest of his year group to create Ballet Central 2019, the school’s graduate touring company. While touring he performed the role of the Fritz/Nutcracker in The Nutcracker and danced The Dying Swan solo choreographed by Soloist at the Royal Ballet Calvin Richardson. He also performed in works by Jasmin Vardimon, Christopher Marney, Fredrick Ashton , Kenneth Macmillan, Sophie Laplane and Jenna Lee.

After joining the company in August 2019 Callum has been apart of a number of creations by Bengt Jörgen, Jose Carret, Katlyn Addison and Hanna Kiel. Whilst dancing with the company he has danced many different roles in The Nutcracker: A Canadian Tradition, Anne of Green Gables – The Ballet® and Romeo & Juliet. Callum is now entering his fourth season with Ballet Jörgen and is looking forward to all of the new roles, creations and experiences that he will gain over the next year.
