Halifax, Nova Scotia

Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Emma began her professional training at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School. While in Winnipeg, she performed the role of Clara in the Royal Winnipeg Ballet’s the Nutcracker, as well as Michael in the company’s production of Peter Pan. She also trained with the HARID Conservatory in Florida before graduating from Canada’s National Ballet School. While in school, she performed a variety of classical and contemporary repertoire including Raymonda, Paquita, Swan Lake, the Nutcracker, Harlequinade, and original works by choreographers like Jera Wolfe, Hannah Galway, and James Kudelka. 

After graduating, Emma moved to London, United Kingdom to join the English National Ballet Trainee program. While in London she performed repertoire from Swan Lake, as well as mixed programs at the iconic Sadler’s Wells, which included original choreography by Mauro de Candia, Kristina Paulin, and Katarzyna Kozielska. She’s also had the pleasure of working with many teachers and choreographers throughout the years, such as James Kudelka, Peggy Baker, Daria Klimentova, Vadim Muntagirov, Dickson Mbi, Viviana Durante, Ibrahim Onal, and Anna du Boisson. 

Emma is thrilled to be returning to Canada to join the junior company, and is excited to see what the season holds.
