Born in Toronto, Canada, Garreth Chapple spent this last season as a trainee at Orlando Ballet, during which he had the opportunity to perform in their productions of Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, and The Great Gatsby, as well as performing excerpts of Gaîté Parisienne and Raymonda, and performing in original works by Heath Gill and Gonzalo Espinoza as part of Orlando Ballet School performances.
Garreth started dance at the age of 5, training at the National Ballet of Canada School, but soon after started taking classes at local studios with a focus on contemporary. He later continued his ballet journey training with The National Ballet of Canada’s Peter Ottmann. Following that, he began training and performing with Huntsville Ballet Company and School under the direction of Phillip Otto.
Since then, he joined Ballet West Academy as part of their PTD program where he performed in productions such as Don Quixote and The Sleeping Beauty, Second Before the Ground by Trey McIntyre, and as part of ArtÉmotion performing Cyclic by Charlotte Boye-Christensen. During his time there he was also invited to join the “Current “Contemporary Performing Ensemble, performing in Magic Arrow by Penny Saunders, Four Seasons by Michael Waldrop, and Radio Silence in collaboration with Salt Contemporary Dance, choreography by Amy Lolotie.
Additional training includes summer training with Nashville Ballet, BalletX, Alonzo King LINES Ballet, and ProArteDanza.
His diverse training has helped shape Garreth into the versatile and passionate dancer he is today. He is very excited to continue his dance journey with Ballet Jörgen as part of their Junior Company, where he looks forward to further growth and new opportunities.
