Giulia Ahmadi

Giulia is a practising lawyer who works in the life insurance industry. She began her career as a civil litigator appearing at many levels of the Ontario courts and at various regulatory boards and tribunals. She has practised law for over 30 years – first in private practice as a litigator, and then taking her litigation practice in-house with a major life insurance company. Giulia eventually transitioned into chief counsel roles acting as a legal advisor for various business units and leading legal teams supporting those businesses. In this capacity, she acquired experience in regulatory compliance, business strategy, board governance, product governance and risk management. Currently, she is the general counsel for the life and health insurance industry’s trade association.  Giulia has a deep admiration for the performing arts.  She was drawn to the Canadian perspective that is championed by Jörgen Dance as well as to its mission to bring dance to under-served communities across Canada. She contributes her knowledge and experience in support of Jörgen Dance’s journey of growth and innovation.
