Zoë is a 19-year-old dancer from Vancouver, Canada. She began her training at Goh Ballet at the age of 3 and has been dancing ever since. She started purely doing ballet but has since expanded her technique to other styles including contemporary, jazz, and character. While in Vancouver, Zoë danced at many renowned schools including Arts Umbrella, Grand Ballet Vancouver and Pacific DanceArts. While at Pacific DanceArts, Zoë participated in many pieces of classical repertoire such as Giselle, Coppèlia, Swan Lake, and, as a corps member with Coastal City Ballet, Sleeping Beauty.
Moreover, Zoë has participated in many Summer Programs including American Ballet Theatre, Bolshoi Ballet and the Rock School. Last summer she participated in Ballet Jorgen’s Summer IV program, and is delighted to be coming back this summer as a Junior Company Trainee.
Now, Zoë lives in Toronto and is pursuing a degree in Chemical Physics at the University of Toronto. She is continuing her dance education, however, with many local drop-in studios such as MetroMovement, The Fifth Dance, StudioNorth, The Underground and The National Ballet of Canada’s In Studio classes. She is also an active member of a University of Toronto dance group called Silhouettes Dance Company, with whom she has begun to choreograph and teach.
