This lesson will teach you the fundamentals of correct arm position, focusing on the four most common positions in ballet: Starting, First, Second, and Above the Head. Port de bras is the French term we use in ballet, and it means ‘carrying the arms.’ Understanding how to use your arms and have the correct ballet upper body posture is essential to becoming a good dancer.
