The Cou-de-pied comes from French meaning “neck of the foot” and is a position with one foot attached to the ankle of the supporting leg. It has a unique feel and look and is critical to building strength, placement and proper pathways for all your leg work on one leg, including jumps.
In this lesson you will learn:
- How to engage your legs and feet properly in and out of Cou-de-pied
- Where to place the foot in basic Cou-de-pied positions to the front and back
- How Cou-de-pied is a both a movement and a position that engages the whole body
