128 – Facings of the Body, Arms, Heads and Tendus in the Centre and Intro to Allongé

This lesson focuses on combining body facings, arms, heads, and Tendus in the centre. Also, this lesson introduces the term of Allongé – a lengthening through the body into the arms and legs.

You will learn how to coordinate these elements and approach your technique comprehensively in centre work i.e., without holding on to a barre.

In this lesson you will learn:

  • To combine previously learned basic elements into your centre work
  • The concept of Allongé
  • To make sure you start and end the Port de bras with head and leg movement simultaneously while in the centre
  • To keep the entire body anchored using the engagement of energy up and down to dance without a barre
