Ballet Technique Fundamentals 7

The four lessons in Ballet Technique Fundamentals 7 will build upon the learnings from the preceding units in the Fundamentals series.

After completing this unit you will know:

  • combining body facings, arms, heads, and Tendus in the centre, and Allongé
  • reversing the Rond de jambe à terre, going from the back to the front, which is called ‘en dedans’
  • the important connecting step, the Glissade
  • Enchaînment (jumps in a sequence), and Gallop and Spring Point

How to get the most from this unit:

  • Take your time with these lessons to ensure that you have fully mastered each technique
  • Watch and dance along with each of the lessons in the unit at least 3 times
  • Repeat the Fundamentals 7 Unit Practice at least 3-5 times
  • Return often to practice and renew your understanding of these fundamental concepts, even professional dancers can benefit from revisiting these concepts
  • Once you have mastered these lessons, well done! You can download your certificate of completion, take the quiz, and move on to the next unit Fundamentals 8
