Meet Akari Fujiwara, your Virtual Dance Studio instructor.
Akari started dancing at the age of three and trained at the Shiho Kanazawa Ballet Studio until the age of 14. Akari then spent two years at the Koninklijke Ballet School in Antwerp, Belgium before moving to Toronto to study at Canada’s National Ballet School. Akari was a Ballet Jörgen Junior Company Member in 2016 and an RBC Apprentice last season. Akari’s roles with CBJ have included Flower, Snowflake, & Dragonfly in The Nutcracker: A Canadian Tradition and Cygnet & Mazurka Dancer in Swan Lake.
